In perusing my Louisiana cookbooks, I've run into a couple iterations of a cheese-y crawfish bread that is popular at music festivals.

Or, I could take another run at the muffaletta (honoring my Sicilian forebears and all).

I'm willing to let all y'all pick....

    Giovanna, both sound great,
but we have nothing like Muffaletta on the menu yet...
and it's great for feeding the crowd,
so I'd lean that way personally

We're still trying to think of a second thing to bring, but right now I'm thinking at least pecan pralines.

I'm being sent out of town on Saturday, won't be back until Thursday.
I may be able to still prep something for Sue to bring, and Sue should still be there.

What a nice party! It was fun catching up with several friends and, of course, the food was terrific. But more than anything else, the music was excellent. It was really special to hear such fine musicians in such an intimate setting. I wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed more of it. Thank you, Elaine and Frank, for the fine hospitality! :)

No apologies for living life to the fullest!

Thanks to you and your family for a fine setting for sharing music, food and friendship.

If I ever have the opportunity to provide pimento sandwiches, I will bring double the quantity. My sister brought the pepper jelly in case anyone wanted it on their sandwich.

    Again, thanks!
