This is a one burner hot plate, well off the surface, and I would only be heating a pan of water in which I would have containters to be kept warm. At home I would put this on a table or even a plastic tablecloth without a second thought.

    Hello Catherine,

Thank you for choosing the Forest Preserves of Cook County. Sterno burners are indeed allowed but not butane.

    Thank you,

My Bride will have some type of side.

    Thanks for your work!

Decided on my contribution to the Picnic...

I have no worries about the weather. I have begun to suspect that someone/thing may have a lien on Cathy2's soul, given how beautiful EVERY SINGLE LTH PICNIC's weather has been.

Even if it does rain, there is a shelter.

I would much rather spend a rainy day in a shelter eating awesome food rather than sitting at home. :)

It’s possible I might be able to drag the 14yo along. It will depend on whether he is in a mood that I feel comfortable inflicting upon people I consider friends. Anyone who has lived with a hormonal teen knows exactly the dilemma I face. He’s pretty much aged out of the piñata party, and the resultant sulk might mean he gets deposited with his older brother for the afternoon.
