I'm not sure what EddieK's intentions are with curating a lunch at Kaiser's this month. Perhaps testing the waters for a coup d'é·tat?

Assuming that I survive Kaiser's, the Official LTHNLG outing for November will be at Biryani Pointe. There's a casual mention of this spot by Jasubar in response to a recent rant by jnm123 as to the lack of Indian spots between Libertyville and the IL/WI border.

Let's check it out for ourselves on the 21st. As always, bring a friend.

Yep, should be able to make it tomorrow. Due to my recent GI issues, I may not be able to consume anything too spicy, so I'd appreciate that if group ordering.

    Hi,

I just got home from a trip. I appears during communal activities, someone brought an unintended gift to the event. I've had the chills since I got home.

I think you will be delighted I stay home and deal with this. I don't need to pass on the gift that potentially can keep on giving.

    Regards,

Found a good joint in Biryani Pointe in Gurnee. Although we scaled the heat index down to mild-to-medium, the Chicken 65 and Mutton Korma were flavorfully executed. Not sure if it was lamb or goat because as Will stated, the menu had the word 'mutton' under both categories. Appetizers of spring roll seemed more Vietnamese than Indian, but very good as were the vegetable samosas.

Onion naan was wonderful, as was the chai hot tea with milk. Best version of that I've had.

EC Dave says the reason for this find was my incendiary rant about a dearth of Indian eateries in the far north suburbs to the IL/WI border, which is testament that the squeaky (or screaming) wheel gets the grease. This is a fine place, especially for Mom and the kiddies since Six Flags is right next door...
