Katie--
The good thing about Lauretta's is that everything is at least pretty good. Yes, the Bolognese is great, goes back to Lori's dad's recipe when he owned Two Guys From Italy up in Highwood many years ago. Their chicken piccata is one of my favorite renditions, and the Mediterranean salad is a nice mix of greens & chickpeas, with a killer balsamic viniagrette.
I don't usually go for the sandwiches there so I can't speak to the muffaletta, but I remember the eggplant parm panini as being very good. And usually their soups are excellent.
We'll have a great time, as always. Although, I'm afraid that on the 22nd Dave may still be atoning for his sins & transgressions. I mean, can you imagine
that laundry list?!
