October seems to be a tough month for me. Yom Kippur starts tonight and I must atone for all of my sins. One of which seems to be where I originally planned this month's outing.

It's time for a re-visit. Please join us on the 22nd for good food and (I hope) good company. As always, bring a friend. (edited to reflect a history lesson by jnm123)

I'll be there, but I'm pretty sure we visited in either 2017 or 2018.

I'm interested but not yet sure I'll be around that day. I should go for the bolognese this time (I won't make the lasagna mistake again). The website doesn't seem to work, but I found the menu on doordash. Jay or anyone else, have you ever had the muffaletta?

    Katie--

The good thing about Lauretta's is that everything is at least pretty good. Yes, the Bolognese is great, goes back to Lori's dad's recipe when he owned Two Guys From Italy up in Highwood many years ago. Their chicken piccata is one of my favorite renditions, and the Mediterranean salad is a nice mix of greens & chickpeas, with a killer balsamic viniagrette.

I don't usually go for the sandwiches there so I can't speak to the muffaletta, but I remember the eggplant parm panini as being very good. And usually their soups are excellent.

We'll have a great time, as always. Although, I'm afraid that on the 22nd Dave may still be atoning for his sins & transgressions. I mean, can you imagine that laundry list?! 8)

I think my subtle wording didn't make it clear that I plan on coming, since I haven't been added to the list. But I am planning on coming. Been too long since one of these was arranged for a day I was free. Looking forward to dining once again with you.

Purely an oversight on my part. You’re on the list.

Since the rebellious Minions will be attending, there could be fireworks.
    I'll be there.

Great food and conversation at today’s gathering. I completely distracted the minions and prevented a coup for another month.
