    Explore the life of the longest-reigning monarch of the United Kingdom. Observe her childhood as Princess Elizabeth, the abdication of her Uncle Edward, accession of her father as King George VI, WWII volunteer services, marriage to Philip Mountbatten, and accession to the throne as Queen Elizabeth II.

    Get to know the woman wearing the crown. How she successfully manages the demanding obligations of Queen, wife and mother with her savvy intelligence, sense of humor and dedication to country.

    Leslie Goddard M.A., Ph.D., is an award winning actress and scholar who has been presenting history lectures and portraying famous women in history for more than 10 years. Goddard holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University, specializing in U.S. cultural history, American studies, and women's history as well as a master's degree in theater and in museum studies. A former museum director, she is the author of two books: Remembering Marshall Fields and Chicago’s Sweet Candy History. She currently works full time as a historical interpreter, author and public speaker.

    Our tables seat 10 guests. We will do our very best to arrange you are seated with your friends. Please advise by phone or e-mail if you have friends paying separately who will sit with you.

    An early bird boutique will feature jewelry, hats, purses and accessories.

    A live auction will be conducted to benefit Greater Midwest Foodways Alliance's State Fair Family Heirloom project.

    Fee: $60. prepay and $65 day of event (if any seats remain)

    Seating is limited. Tickets are non-refundable though they are transferrable, so if you buy a ticket and your plans change, you can sell your ticket. If you do sell your ticket, please let us know who you sold it to.
