    im thinking of putting together a 24 hour athon around the end of august and beginning of september and i wanted to do a 7 continent 24 a thon but i would like 2 or 3 kinds of sushi places if u have any suggestions for any resturaunts of any type please let me know

    Well, I'm sure you'll find three great sushi joints, though I'm curious to see what representative cuisine you find locally for Antarctica and Australia (Outback doesn't count, right? For the Land Downunder, You might just want to make a picnic lunch of Vegemite sandwiches and Foster's).

    Some years ago, I was the proud owner of 80 cans of krill. Made into a salad or creamed and tucked into a crepe, it would qualify as an Antarctic dish more familiar to baleen whales than humans.

    Perhaps THIS site or THIS ONE can provide some guidance regarding the cuisine of Antarctica.

    Australia might be satisfied with dishes offered here with another take on the experience here … and I am NOT heading you to Outback!

    Well, there are any number of places serving Australian wines and New Zealand mussels. Most of the venison sold in local restaurants is also from New Zealand, and from time to time you see Australian yabbies and barramundi on menus at local seafood houses.

    Im back I think I have enough suggestions for Antarctica and Australian foods, but I need some more sushi suggestions, (im interested in going to Garys favorite sushi place) also some chinese foods and ill look into some more restrauants in a couple of days.

    Im planning on having the 24 hour athon by the end of september, but please send me as many suggestions as possible for any kind of restaurant.

    You should post it all here so that everthing is in one place if you expect to get much help. It's much more convenient to have a thread in a single place so that everyone can follow the conversation. I for one, have no idea what the 24 hr. athon is, other than the one that happened back in the Chowhound days.
