Dating a unadventurous eater

Okay, here's a question for the forum...I'm not in this situation right now, but it has come up before.

What if the person you were dating absolutely hated any un-familiar food, and would not venture beyond burgers, italian, mexican. Is this a recipe for disaster? Is there any hope for love between a chowhound and a fast-foodie?
