    Hi,

A friend, who does programs for a local library in central Lake County, is seeking a Korean-American to talk about Korean food and culture.

There is a local Korean restaurant where the owners speak little English. She is looking for someone who can describe Korean meal options (from boiling hot soups to pancakes to BBQ) with an array of panchan and fermented side dishes.

This may be a library program with samples the library will organize in coordination with a speaker and/or a meal in a Korean restaurant with someone there to narrate.

When she advised her plans, I knew right away the issue: the immigrant parents work the restaurant and their Korean-American children are dissuaded from working at the restaurant. What is missing is someone who can explain Korean food and culture.

If you have any suggestions or know of resources, please advise.

    Regards,
