Post #3 - December 28th, 2018, 12:39 pmI presume that Zagat is pretty much dead at this point, right? I'm still on their email list but the frequency of their emails has dropped dramatically this year. I haven't received one in nearly 2 months (and I stopped reading them long ago). Beyond that, no one even mentions them anymore. They used to be such a useful resource but they appear to have been completely disrupted by a rapidly changing world, one with which they could not keep up.

On March 6, 2018, Google transferred ownership of the brand and assets to restaurant review website The Infatuation. They did not disclose the deal amount. The Infatuation CEO and Co-Founder Chris Stang released a statement that the company was "thrilled by this opportunity to acquire such a pioneering and trusted restaurant guide as Zagat... it is the perfect complement to what we have been building at The Infatuation.” They will reportedly operate as two distinct brands, with The Infatuation retaining its editorial-first focus and Zagat will expand user surveys and develop a new tech-driven platform.Bill-Aurora
