Kman, I hope you do not mind me starting the thread you suggested. As an adult I cannot tolerate most candy I ate as a child.Especially candy corn. However I now eat and even sometimes crave sweet potatoes, broccoli and ribs among other things.

Some things have changed; I hated pears, mushrooms, and bleu cheese as a child, and love them all now. I loved lemonade, but have completely lost my taste for it as an adult.

But two things I don't like have remained ABSOLUTELY constant for 40-plus years:

    a) Peas. Hate 'em. Always have, always will. Not dried split peas, or pea pods, just peas. Blech. You'd think I'd have gotten used to them by now, right? Noooooo!l

    b) I really don't ribs at all. There is something about the texture of the meat that bothers me. Too....gelatinous, maybe. Pork, beef - makes no difference. Ick. Pulled pork or nothing.

Sort of a carryover from the Halloween thread: Every year I get a mix of small candy bars with chocolate and purely sugary treats, like lollipops. I always notice that the littler kids go overwhelmingly for the sugary stuff while the bigger kids mainly seem to want the chocolate (or else they grab one of each).
