    Hello!

Baconfest is coming up: April 17 and 18. Here are all the details: http://baconfestchicago.com/when-is-baconfest/

The schedule is the same as last year - Friday Dinner, Saturday Lunch and Saturday Dinner.

Today at noon, we're putting VIP tickets on sale - just in time for Holiday gifts. You can purchase them here:
    http://baconfestchicago2015.eventbrite.com

Pricing is also the same as last year: $200 for VIP tickets and $100 for General Admission. The GA tickets will go on sale in February.

I hope to see some LTHers in the crowd - I know there are lots of folks here that have attended the event and can attest to its deliciousness.

    Love,
    Seth

    Hello!

A little something new for the people out there in LTH land.

This year, we are hosting a volunteer re-pack session at the Greater Chicago Food Depository!

    When: Saturday, March 28, 2015 – 1:00 PM to 3:45 PM
Where: Greater Chicago Food Depository – 4100 West Ann Lurie Place, Chicago IL 60632 (map)
Who: You and your family (14 years and older please)

    Register: https://volunteers.chicagosfoodbank.org ... &fwID=2838

Not that you'd need any motivation to come other than the good feeling that accompanies volunteering, but we are planning to give away two VIP tickets to the Friday Dinner session of Baconfest (4/17) to one of the volunteer re-packers.

    What's a Repack Session!??
The GCFD receives bulk dried food by the pallet and relies on volunteer labor to break down those giant quantities into individual family portions that can be distributed to hungry people in the Chicago area. Volunteering for a repack session is a great way to get familiar with the food bank's operations and to help them in a tangible way to work toward their goal of ending hunger in our community. Baconfest has supported the Food Depository for the last five years with donations from our event proceeds as well as food drives and raffles - totaling more than 650,000 meals over the years.

Hope to see you there and at Baconfest!
