Hi Everyone!
I'm new to the LTH Community but I've heard only wonderful things about the site from one of my good friends,
mtgl, who has been a member for a few years.
I just wanted to bring to your attention our new Indian restaurant in Aurora -
Khas. A bit of background info about us: this is a family run business and we bootstrapped our way to this restaurant from a small Indian grocery/take-out place in South Naperville (mtgl was kind enough to
write about us a couple of yrs back) after our takeout food (especially the biryanis!) got a lot of traction with the local Indian community.
Our operating philosophy is simple: the best Indian food at the cheapest prices. Our buffets are fully stocked every day and we're especially proud for not skimping on the chicken and goat dishes in the buffet. If you like specific Indian items like Dosas and Biryanis, we have all-you-can-eat buffet type dinners every Wed-Fri (
Chaat Night,
Dosa Night, &
Biryani Night.)
I'm very curious to hear what you guys think about our food. A lot of friends describe it as "authentic" but I know that's not a term that can adequately describe the 100+ items we regularly make when each dish has its own culinary history and tradition. What I can tell you is that a majority of the dishes are made from homemade recipes with my ma and grandma regularly cooking in the kitchen.
This has been a long post already so thanks a lot for reading so far! If you're interested in checking us out, I would recommend the weekend buffets so that you can sample quite a few of our veggie, chicken, and goat dishes.
I would
love to hear your thoughts and suggestions either in-person or on this forum. Thanks again!
