A Taste of India features a "thali" meal of specially prepared regional Indian dishes. Join Indo-American Heritage Museum volunteers for the Museum's popular "A Taste of India," and enjoy the diversity of the world beyond curry with a carefully curated, specially prepared thali meal featuring the varied culinary traditions of the different regions of India.
We gather at 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 27 at Tiffin Restaurant at 2536 W. Devon Avenue. Indo-American Heritage Museum (IAHM) docents guide visitors on an exploration of the ethnic marketplace, following which Tiffin's tandoor chef will demonstrate his skills as he prepares the breads for our dinner. The cost for tour, dinner and one soft drink, beer or wine is $50. One on one interaction with immigrant volunteers, relaxed conversation and a sumptuous meal make this an evening to remember.
Reservations close at midnight, Thursday September 24. A few spaces are still available. Free Sunday street parking. Purchase tickets at
