    Hello LTHers,

I have been an occasional visitor to this community, and am now glad to be a part of it. My name is Alex Truong, and I have recently begun serving small dinners in Wicker Park using the bounty of the Midwest that is available in the Chicagoland area.

3R Dinners serves a 9 course menu to six people, generally on Friday and Saturday. I have had a strong passion for great food all of my life, and have decided to purse this to express that joy after finishing up a year at Nightwood Restaurant.

I am very much enjoying being able to serve a limited number of diners and using nothing but the best that I can find and source locally.

Please visit 3rdinners.tumblr.com or fb.com/3rdining for more information. I will post upcoming dates for dinners and news here. Thank you for your time and we hope to hear from you. If you have any questions feel free to contact me by e-mail.

Our upcoming dinners will be held this Saturday, December 7 and Next Friday, December 13.

    Cheers,
    3R Dinners

Thank you for asking. Generally we suggest a donation of $70 at the end of the meal. I hope to post some pictures and more content from some past dinners soon. Keep an eye on this topic for more news and updates.

We hope to hear from you!

    Best,

Thanks, MgMcewen, it was wonderful having you folks in.

I'd like to take a moment to post a picture or two and let all of you know that there will be a number of dinners available in January.

Something I really enjoyed serving: a handmade ricke cake with wilted scallion, demi-glace and chilis

A nice dish from early fall served at the inaugural dinner: Kale chips, roasted and raw honey crisp, cider-brown butter emulsion.

The weekends of the 10th, the 17th, and the 24th will be available for you to join me in exploring some of the cold weather food the midwest has to offer. Stay Warm!

Just wanted to update some of the seating availability for January:

We have one seat available for next Saturday, the 18th. We have six seats available for both the 24th and 25th as well.

Also, we were mentioned on Chicago EaterWire:

We hope to hear from you soon!
