The others all went for the CB hash with poached eggs, which I sampled and liked (my one bite) very much; I'll let them report on their own meals, though. I had a simple omelette and it was good, but I was there more for the company, which was stimulating (even at 5:15). At the end we all looked at our watches and had these curious looks on our faces; "It's 6:00 a.m. ... Now what? Am I late for something?"

I've been urged to set up another early breakfast in a couple of weeks; stay tuned.

Or so I posted at 6:44 a.m. today on the Events board. Cathy2 asked me to move the post over here (for higher visibility?) Anyway, I'm putting together the next way-too-early event, on either July 7 or 14. The place: Harry's Hot Dogs, northwest corner of Franklin and Randolph. Why? The grits, naturally. Harry's serves a decent breakfast including EXCELLENT grits (just ask JeffB). I'm not sure of the exact time; I'll have to check the hours and will post a notice in the Events section soon. In the meantime, here's a link to a review I posted on the other board: http://www.chowhound.com/midwest/boards/chicago/messages/47618.html
