Remembering the Chick-fil-A talk in
this thread, and especially the obsessiveness of the Brown family in the Tribune article by Kevin Pang Fujisan
linked to, I couldn't resist stopping at Chick-fil-A when I had the chance.
In the framework of fast food I liked Chick-fil-A, coating and flavor of the chicken sandwich reminded me of KFC's original recipe, chicken flesh was juicy and the overall effect of simply bun/chicken/pickle lent a pleasant minimalist note.

Skin-on waffle fries were tasty, if a bit limp. Polynesian sauce, which I tried just for shits and giggles, was not-good, a shock inducing sweet sticky mess. Mayo, which they have in abundance, seems the preferred accompaniment to a Chick-fil-A sandwich.
