Eli's Steakhouse

Any recent experiences/opinions?

I have a friend coming in for the book expo and they are staying near Eli's. Worth a trip for him and his collegues?

I hear they serve a mean cheesecake

It has probably been about 10 years, so my experience is not meaningful. But it did/does have the old time Jewish steak house feel, including the chopped chicken liver on the table to start if I recall rightly, so I would think it is worth a trip down that memory lane.

Another option in the neighborhood for a great steak is The Saloon on Chestnut. Great steaks, great service, good atmosphere.
