I just read this on a Rogers Park Facebook group:
There aren't enough words to express how grateful we are for all of the love and support we received from our family, friends, and customers during the time of our fathers passing. Your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. Our father, Saul Moreno, was an extraordinary person and we wish we could have had more time with him but we will always cherish the memories that he left behind with us and his bright smile will always be remembered. If you have also lost a loved one during this difficult time we’d like to offer our condolences as well. No one should ever have to endure the pain of losing a loved one but we hope you can also overcome the grief and heal from the pain.
Initially, our family had decided to close down the restaurant. The loss of our father made us lose all hope and motivation to pursue the restaurant without him. After much thought and reflection of the hard work that our family and staff have put towards the restaurant these last 15 years, we have decided to RE-OPEN the restaurant. This decision was also encouraged by the overwhelming amount of messages we received from our wonderful customers who asked us to reconsider our decision. Without the support of our customers we wouldn't have been able to keep the restaurant running for so many years and we don’t want to abandon our community. With that said, we want to keep our father's legacy alive and continue to serve our community as long as we can. We would greatly appreciate it if you could SHARE the news with your friends and family. Thank you and see you soon!
