Ribs, according to the Mrs., are not on the diet. So I need to know if a trip to Leon's on Ashland just north of Fullerton (at the site of the former "The System" carwash) is worth many, many days of avoiding transfats, potatos, and pasta.

Hi Steve - IMO i'd say don't go! i'd been eagerly anticipating their opening as they're right in my neighborhood. They won't serve sauce on the side, so your ribs come dripping in a sauce thats not very tasty. then the ribs themselves didn't have a good texture - mine were somewhat mushy, and no "smoke ring". The same went for their links. i have yet to see any indication of smoke coming out of the impressive apparatus on top of the store - to which someone on this board suggested they may cook the ribs at a central location and deliver to the shop sometime during the day.

If you do go, i'd like to know what you think.

    ciao

Thanks. We'll skip them for tonight, but I'll check them out for lunch one day next week.
