This is for ddickson who has had an interest in LT's, I discovered him cooking Q at Swedish Days in Geneva last night, unfortunetly after I had already downed a so-so pulled pork and some chocolate at Graham's. He is set up in front of the caterer Moveable Feast on Franklin Street about 3 doors west of Third Street, I plan on returning tonight and eat there.

I got a chance last night to get back to Swedish Days and have some of LT's wonderful chopped pork Q. I had a chance to talk to him and found out that he only opens his store Thursday from 5 to 11pm and then Friday thru Sunday he is open at 11:30am until 10pm. At his store he has catfish as well but will cook up just about anything if you call ahead.

Thanks, LTE. LT's is really pit-roasted, without wood, rather than barbecued (smoked with wood). It is a good product, IMO, done well, and i like his sauce which is, if I recall correctly, not as sweet, more heat and vinegar, than most in Chicago.

Also rumored to fry up a pretty decent catfish in his store.

And he has been around forever. Definitely worth enjoying when in Aurora, but not a destination.
