    I have reservations for brunch at the RC Dining room on father's day. Can anyone tell me what to expect? Will it be worth the $80 a person?

    Assuming it is similar to the four seasons brunch (same parent company) which I had last year you will be in for a treat.

    80 always seems a little steep for a meal unless you are at Trotters, Tru, or Trio, but it is definitely an experience.

    Don't expect innovative fare, but expect a top notch service experience with top level classic foods.

    Beignets, crepes, prime rib, goat cheese stuffed mushrooms, caviar, crab claws, sushi, eggs benedict, souffles, brulees etc...

    it is honestly a feast of the imagination. Abstain from eating for at least 24 hours!

    Expect a lavish spread: carved roast beef, a waffle station, made-to-order omelets, a wide variety of creative salads, smoked salmon, shrimp, lamb chops, eggs benedict, and exquisite desserts, including individual souffles. At Father's Day, they are having a "Summer Grill" theme with giveaways from Weber.

    I think the $80 Price tag has to do with the fact that it is Father's Day. The usual price is around $55 per person. I expect that the buffet will be even more lavish, however.
    Expect cold shellfish (crab claws, shrimp) and smoked salmon and accompaniments. There is a carving station with prime rib, turkey, rack of lamb. A spinach salad station, a omelete station, waffles, and fresh fish station. The made to order souffles are fun but certainly not the best thing on the sweet table. I love the brunch at the Ritz and it has always been a special treat in my family. Even when I was a kid I surpassed the kids buffet with ants on a log and PB&J with the crusts cut off for the prime rib.

    Thanks all! I'll pass along the "menu" to my dad. He'll be excited. I know I am now. I'm always up for a good all you can eat meal, and why not do it at the Ritz!? :lol:

    Well, we went to the Ritz yesterday. I have to say that I am totally and completely let down. The spread wasn't half as lavish as all of you described, and the service wasn't that great either! We had dirty dishes on the table for the longest time among other problems. I would much rather have spent the money on dinner somewhere, or half as much on brunch somewhere else.
